The Varied Industries Bldg. is a beautiful facility and is Iowa's largest single level event center and because it is central located in Iowa and the midwest it is perfect for this event. Wade added 2 new features and they have been a big success. Race Track Alley gives any race track a free 8x8 space to promote their track, hand out schedules, get names for mailing list, and talk to fans and drivers. There are carpeted rooms on the south side of the building. that are also available for hospitality rooms or seminars if someone is interested. Track owners and promoters need to call to get your space- it's a great PR tool and the space is free! Motorsports Car Show is an invitation only show that showcases all kinds of race and performance cars. If you have a bad boy toy that you'd like to show off and promote your sport - call Wade. You can buy or sell parts for the upcoming season, talk to tracks and promoters, see race cars, or do some bench racing. The show has become well known for the large amount of engines and engine parts for race, muscle, and street cars. Parts for stock cars, drag,open wheel, pro street, truck and tractor pullers, 4x4, nascar goodies, collectables, restoration, bargains on tools, tires and wheels, auto literature and tee-shirts! | Friday, July 27, Graffiti Night 6-9pm in the parking lot located north of Penn Central Mall west of downtown. Good 50s and 60's music, door prizes, cash giveaways, and benchrodding. Saturday, July 28, Show-n-Shine begins with 9am Registration ($15 till July 13 and then $17) in downtown Oskaloosa's beautifully restored square. The day includes drawings for a $200 cash prize donated by Doug's 4-Wheelers, Inc., Hwy 163, Pella, IA, and five $100 cash prizes; door prizes for everyone; beautiful dash plaques; two $50 Poker Walk winners; lots of shopping downtown and in the mall, and restaurants for a light lunch. At 3pm, the participants will cruise a short distance to shady Edmundson Park for the free meal, root beer floats, and trophy awards for 25 classes from 1900 to current vintage, for which the winners are determined by participant vote.
